navy floral accent chair / art from parima studio / flamingo print / pineapple print / ikea tv stand

recently i've been working on sprucing up my living room, and i've decided to go with a blueish/navy theme. my couch is grey, so i've got navy/blue pillows and i'm in desperate need of a navy accent chair! i'm in love with the art from parima studio, and i'm dying to add some of her pieces to my collection. above my couch, i'm working on a gallery wall, so the pineapple and flamingo prints are perfect!

one of my favorite resources i've come across recently is mrs. fancee's collection of curated gallery walls, made of free prints! they're all pre-arranged, color coordinated and freakin' awesome. seriously, if you're looking to make a gallery wall, check this out! it's been a major source of inspiration while i'm redecorating.

lately i've really been feeling a bedroom makeover, and for the new year, i'm planning to give it a little revamp. currently, my cath kidston comforter takes up the lower half of the bed. i'm planning to replace it with a brown fur throw, and some gold accent pillows to replace the pink ones.

i guess i'm just feeling i'm over the pink, you know? i think the gold and navy compliment each other nicely for a more put together look. new year, fresh bedroom!

here are some of the goodies i've got my eye on this year... and i've been really, really good, i promise. i guess it says something about where i'm at in life when coasters are on my christmas list. what are these adult priorities? i also need some new wine glasses desperately!

i tried on a pair of my cousin's troopas when i visited her in austin, and fell in love. how in the world had i not picked up these boots already? they're comfy, versatile and perfect for a winter outfit with plaid & a chunky knit sweater.

spring 2014 wishlist

 teal blazer, block heel sandals, pink skinny jeans, crossover ring, rebecca minkoff mini mac, target sandals

this spring, i'm really into pastel printed/colored pants - i mean, when haven't i been? but specifically, i'd really like to add some coral pink/teal skinnies to my collection. chunky wedges/sandals are also on my radar! i love these snakeskin heels, they're perfect for daytime. i've also wanted the david yurman crossover ring for a while now - hmmmmm. and of course, the rebecca minkoff mini mac is always on my wishlist; maybe i can snag it in a pretty pop of color this year.

these are the items i've got my eye on currently (christmas list?). ah, the coveted j. crew herringbone vest - who knows if i'll be able to get my hands on one. the $12 walmart look alike is even sold out (but i'm still checking for it weekly!). if you know me you know i'm addicted to cups like nobody's business, so of course a cute kate spade mug is in order for when it gets chillier. these ankle booties from target are a great price, how can i say no? baublebar's statement necklaces are my favorite. and candles? eh, that's a given. time to stock up.

meredith's autumn wishlist

01. oxblood everything - right now i'm really craving some oxblood skinnies. perfect with a black long sleeve vneck, faux fur vest & litas - ah, i can see it now.

02. statement fuschia - i've always loved this color, but its especially beautiful against blacks and other neutrals in the form of a bag or shoe. kate spade totally nails this color in her bags & shoes.

03. leopard print loafers - these are perfect for work or a casual day outfit, and they also look fantastic against oxblood! this pair from nine west looks super comfy and versatile.

new handbag lust: lv speedy 25 damier ebene

this summer, my handbag lust was finally satiated when i received my marc by marc jacobs baby q groovee - and it's been my loyal companion ever since. i literally cannot get enough of that bag. sometimes, i'll glance over at it & smile fondly. it's the perfect size, the perfect material, & on top of that, it's gorgeous.

& to be honest, i kind of feel like i'm cheating on it. i used to hate louis vuitton bags. i'm not sure why, but i think it had a little to do with the classic LV print, of which i am still not the biggest fan. if you know me, you know i love bags. i'd rather shop for bags than clothing any day of the week. i was afraid that once i had acquired my lover baby q groovee, my heart would only settle on something else. it's been gradual, but here i am in full blown handbag love affair with the louis vuitton speedy 25 in damier ebene.

handbag gods, please stop with this. you're torturing me.

holiday wishlist 2011

starbucks giftcards, grey tall uggs, cath kidston iphone case, marc by marc jacobs turnlock necklace, coach poppy perfume, northface e tip gloves & tickets to the national championship

on monday, "dead week" begins. i've got a huge project to do, a portfolio to organize & an exam to study for, so i haven't had time to take photos. i am SO looking forward to exam week being over, spending a few wonderful days with a great guy, & then finally heading to my parent's house for 1 month. baking, family time & catching up with friends at mcsherry's will ensue!

also announced today: alabama is going to the national championship game in new orleans! am i going to be there? OF COURSE! i'm entering the drawing for student tickets tomorrow at 8am, & hotel reservations are in the works. whether or not i get a ticket is purely luck, so my fingers are crossed. even if i don't, i'm heading to new orleans anyway just to be present.

for the next 2 weeks it's coffee, instagram, studying, writing & no sleep. i'll be updating again on the other side of finals. happy december!
